Stories of Hope
Is There Hope? We Think So!
Meet Robinson.
From an early age, Robinson struggled with disrupted sleep, chronic ear infections and extreme sensory dysregulation. It really affected his ability to fully participate in family gatherings, playing with friends and affected his ability to participate in school. His mom, Lindsay, felt like she “could have frequent flier miles with their doctors office and had earned a degree from Dr. Google”, as she and her husband searched for solutions. They had tried so many types of antibiotics that Robinson’s body developed resistance to 3 different kinds of them by age three. The ear infections just kept returning, even after 5 sets of tubes, and he still couldn’t sleep through the night.
Lindsay attended one of Dr. Caleb’s Perfect Storm workshops and decided to give Neurologically-Focused Chiropractic Care a try. “When we saw scans from Dr. C and he explained them, it felt like we were looking at a coloring book explaining our son’s sensory problems. Hearing how subluxations can affect every part of his health explained SO much and knowing that we’d tried everything else, we were excited to see how Dr. C could help us!”
Within the first 2 weeks of receiving care, Lindsay and her husband noticed that Robinson had seemed more regulated than they’d ever seen him before. He was calmer, happier and even his ears began draining & clearing up. Finally! Today, Robinson’s speech has bloomed SO much, and his sensory system is much more regulated. He finally has a predictable routine and attitude throughout the day. When Robinson first came to our office, he barely spoke. Now when he comes in, he grabs his mom by the hand excitedly, and pulls her into the adjustment room saying, “Come on mommy, its time to get adjusted!” He also likes to teach our team about the coolest superheroes!
Meet Ayven.
The storm of stress that was stuck in Ayven’s nervous system created a constant whirlwind of emotional meltdowns, behavioral tantrums, and trouble sleeping. Ayven was having such a hard time sleeping that mom said Ayven was waking up 4-5 nights per week and staying awake for 4+ hours (for months consecutively).
Ayven’s mom (being the strong and amazing superstar that she is) sought out answers at EMCC because she wanted more for her daughter.
Mom said within the first week, Ayven was already back to sleeping through the night 4-5 nights per week. Today Ayven is sleeping well, better able to manager her emotions, and is absolutely thriving!
